Like new condition. This bright polished and textured gold-tone plated elephant is accented by several sizes of clear rhinestones on the blanket called a caparison and for its eye and at the end of its trunk. Glossy ivory-colored enameling covers the head and the rest of the blanket.
Elephants with raised trunks are considered lucky in many cultures.
The elephant measures 1-3/4" wide x 1-3/8" long and is not flat but the body is quite rounded. The decorative twisted rope chain is 30" long and has a spring ring clasp. It attaches to the pendant by way of a rotating bail which disappears when the chain is removed and the elephant is used as a brooch. The necklace is signed "K.J.L. for Avon" on the back.
